My name is Nardeen Murib, and I grew up in an artistic family where both my dad and mom are artists. Surrounded by colors, art, and a creative environment, I developed a deep passion for design and imagination. This passion led me to pursue a degree in architectural engineering and interior design, and I successfully graduated with a BSc. Degree in Architecture Engineering from the University of Technology in Baghdad.

Throughout my academic journey, I excelled in various competitions, showcasing my creativity and skills. In my second year, I won a competition challenging participants to design a unique Islamic ornamentation without incorporating the cross. Another highlight was in my third year, where I was among the top three nominees for designing the Iraqi embassy in Washington, DC. My graduation project, focused on designing a wax museum, was selected as one of the top 10 projects.

Having gained valuable experience working with several Iraqi firms and freelancing as an architect engineer, I achieved recognition in 2000 by winning a competition to design the main gate and reception area for the Al Alawia Social Club in Baghdad.

In 2005, I embarked on a new chapter of my life by getting married. In 2008, considering the war and instability in Iraq, my husband, our two-year-old son, and I made the decision to relocate to the UAE. Settling in Abu Dhabi, I joined the international Bayaty Architect firm. There, I contributed to designing interiors and exteriors for luxurious towers, hotels, and residential villas. Additionally, I was honored to be part of the team working on the design of the largest mosque in the Middle East.

 

Our journey continued, and in 2013, my family and I landed in Toronto, Canada. Together with my husband and three kids, we embarked on the exploration of our new life, finding our path in this exciting journey. Professionally, I worked as a kitchen and bath specialist designer, where my commitment to exceptional customer service became a hallmark. Going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction has always been my strength.
